I hope my friends, colleagues and readers will join me Nov. 5 in DC at the Washington National Monument 9am-9pm for The Million Mask March . This is a world event with over 400 locations around the world to affirm peace, justice, privacy, democracy, transparency and freedom. See details here . I’ve been assisting with preparations for the program, which includes music, dance and "open mic." This open microphone feature is extremely important to the concept of the event because its goal is to enable attendees to describe concerns. More on that below. Also, I'll speak about how revelations in my new book, Presidential Puppetry: Obama, Romney and Their Masters , can help us achieve widely shared goals of reform. KEY: “ K nowledge E mpowers Y ou ” is my theme to curtail abuses by the CIA/NSA surveillance state as well as Wall Street efforts to impose harsh and needless austerity on the public. As momentum builds for this big event, a rogue group is using confrontational rhetoric to argue that the crowd should march to Lafayette Park in an effort to “arrest” and detain President Obama, Congress and U.S. Supreme Court justices on criminal charges. These zealots are using violent imagery such as a “ USA Hitman ” theme to threaten such actions. Excessive rhetoric and violent actions lead to more surveillance and police state reprisals. Puppetry documents this history, including how the CIA funded the 1960s Communist Daily Worker as well as some important leaders of the “radical” group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The goal was to influence events and at least some leaders on all parts of the political spectrum. Masks of the kind shown above right also underscore the close relationship between protest and turncoats. The masks are sometimes called "Guy Fawkes" masks in reference to a plotter against the English crown whose confederates turned him in to authorities on Nov. 5, 1605 to face charges of trying to blow up Parliament in "The Gunpowder Plot." More recently, the masks are sometimes associated with Anonymous, a shadowy group that advocates transparency. Yet Anonymous itself remains unidentified, and occasionally broadcasts videos claiming it has no leaders.
